Report: Blast in Crimea college takes lives of 18 people, injures 40

MOSCOW/SOCHI, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- A blast in a college of the Crimean city of Kerch has killed 18 people, and more than 40 were injured, head of the republic Sergei Aksyonov told channel Rossiya 24 in an interview on Wednesday.

“I am on the site in Kerch. It is a colossal tragedy: 18 people dead, more than 40 hurt,” Aksyonov said. He added that a criminal case on a terrorist attack has already been initiated.

Transport Minister Yevgeny Ditrikh said that Crimea’s transport infrastructure is guarded as usual.
